After four years in the heart of the "Belle Province", it is with great emotion that I will pack up this summer for other horizons. Four years, which although turned upside down, have been rich, intense and exciting. Four years that have allowed me to observe, with joy, the strength of the relations between the French speakers of Belgium and Canada.
First of all, on the occasion of numerous visits of artists, young people, researchers, students, representatives of higher education establishments or companies from Wallonia-Brussels. During multiple political meetings as well, including very recently the first official visit to Quebec of the Minister-President of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, Mr. Pierre-Yves Jeholet. Thanks also to the many projects that link our territories and which I had the chance to see take shape, including the launch of alumni networks of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation in Canada, the new start-up exchange program and the first joint mission in the book sector with Quebec, or the memorandum of understanding between the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and French-speaking Ontario. Finally, and perhaps above all, through the bonds of friendship that are woven between the citizens of our territories.
Behind the stories and projects carried out over the past four years, the Wallonia-Brussels teams in Canada and their enthusiasm for building bridges have played an essential role. I would like to thank them warmly, and in particular the Delegation team, whose motivation and kindness have been invaluable on a daily basis.
I also would like to salute our Scientific and Academic Advisor, Mr. Adrien Sellez, whose mandate in Canada will also end this summer, after several years devoted to our cooperation in research and innovation. Finally, I would like to thank all the partners, several of whom have become friends, and who have always been available!
I wish you a great summer, and hope to meet you soon.
